The abcd is a bag in the shape of a book, one that cannot be placed on a shelf, only carried. One of our oldest models and already a classic, it was born from L.H.D.O.R (L’Âge d’Or), our collection inspired by Dadaism and Surrealism. Like Magritte's pipe, it is and isn't what it appears to be. The object is familiar. What it does is something else entirely.
Designed in Barcelona and handcrafted in Ubrique by Paco and his team, using traditional techniques passed down through generations. Made from full-grain Spanish cow leather, vegetable-tanned with natural dyes, free from chromium and synthetic chemicals, allowing the leather to breathe, age, and develop a unique patina over time.
The front flap features an engraved diamond pattern and closes with a magnetic fastening. The spine of the bag carries engraved logo details, a quiet nod to the books it resembles. Inside, a hand-painted splash pattern on the leather lining turns the interior into its own small surprise. It comes with two adjustable and removable leather straps and can be worn as a crossbody, shoulder bag, handbag, or clutch. Each piece is engraved with a serial number and comes with a dust bag for storage.
